I can't believe it's the end of May already!

It just flew by. Schools out now and it's time to find lots of activities to keep the kids entertained and happy this summer. I just signed them up for swimming lessons and they start on Monday. They are pretty excited about it. So I have been working on some more Father's Day cards and thought I would share them here. I actually made the tie and shirt collar pattern last year for Father's Day but never made any cards with them. So I dug them out of the "scrap void" and made some cards.

For the top card I used the distressed stripes CB embossing folder for the "shirt". But before I ran it through I used my linen background stamp on it. The collar is made from this self-adhesive cloth I found a while back. The bottom one I used Basic Grey's Boxer line for the "shirt" and used the stripes embossing folder for the tie. I have a few more I am going to make and I may put them in my Esty store.

On a trip...

Well, I am actually writing this the night before we leave for Iowa. So hopefully when this does post (I think I'll do Friday) I am having a good time visiting my family and friends, the weather is good (and not too humid), and the kids are having a fun time visiting the sights and sounds of where I grew up. I thought I would share my CPS #65 creation. I have never posted one on the CPS blog before so we'll see how it goes. I use Tami's Card Maker's Sketch Book all the time. It has really helped stir my creativity.

I actually used my Timber Brown Staz-on ink to stamp the "together sentiment" on the organza ribbon. I didn't think it would work but it turned out great. It's hard to see in the picture, but it is still sheer enough to read the word "Happy" in Happy Wedding Day.

Let's Hang Out

I just wanted to share some of my cards that I made from Caardvarks April Card Kit, "Let's Hang Out". They are full of great papers and all kinds of embellishments. This particular kit had 3 different kinds of ribbon (one that said "fun in the sun" on it), the cutest monkey brads, stickers, cardstock, and papers from Reminisce's Monkey Business line. These are great kits that you can make bunches of cards with and that can be utilized for scrapbooking pages too. Please see Caardvarks for the link to buy these Card Kits. They are very affordable too. I think they are running around $15 starting with the May kit. They May kit will be available soon.

You can see more card creations at the Let's Hang Out gallery on the Itty Bitty Scrap Shack website.

Bad Blogger, Bad!

I just start this blog a month ago and I am already a bad blogger. It is just so hard to post sometimes, busy, busy, busy, I guess. It is the end of the school year and I have been making all kinds of teacher gifts. Tomorrow is my 2 kiddos last day and then summer will be here. What to do, what to do. Hopefully gas prices don't go up much more or we won't be going to as many places this summer, like the zoo, botanical gardens, or the children's museum. So I wanted to post some pictures of the things I have made for teachers this year. Then I will be a bad blogger again because we are flying to Iowa to visit my family this Tuesday. I have had the suitcases out since last Tuesday (I have been called anal-retentive by all my friends and a control freak by my hubby-:l0l).

So here are some of the teacher gifts I made. You can also see some of them on the photobucket link on the right side of this blog.

These card tins were made from a Mayo Road Lunch Break tin. I decoupaged the paper onto it. Then added Stickles and rub-ons (and Primas on the one tin) for an extra touch. The I filled them up with all kinds of cards.

The cute bee stamp is by Stampendeous.

This is a set of 8 cards with a matching "card bag" to keep them in. I was given the template to this from Shannon (my lifesaver) who is a member of the Itty Bitty Scrap Shack forum boards. I donwloaded it to photobucket and here is the link to it. Card Bag.

The dino stamp is from My Favortite Things. They are becoming my new favorite stamp company.

Here is my submission to the Caarvark "Caliente" challenge. It is BBQ season and what and what a nice way to invite some friends over for some food, drinks, and fun on the patio than sending them a nice invite.
